使用增碳剂不仅可以补足钢铁冶炼过程中碳的烧损，确保钢铁特定牌号碳含量的要求，还可以用于炉后调整。作为感应电炉熔化铁水的重要原料，增碳剂的质量和用法直接影响了铁水的状态 .在进行除渣、除气处理之后的钢包中加入特定牌号的增碳剂，可调整钢包中的碳含量，达到一包多号的目的。
增碳剂的原料有很多种,优质增碳剂一般指经过石墨化的增碳剂，现在市场上的石墨增碳剂一般来说来自两种途径，一种是石墨电极的废料切割，再一个就是石油焦3000度的石墨化产品。在高温条件下，碳原子的排列呈石墨的微观形态，所以称之为石墨化。石墨化可以降低增碳剂中杂质的含量，提高增碳剂的碳含量，降低硫含量。

The use of recarburizer can not only make up for the carbon loss in the process of steel smelting, satisfy the requirement of carbon content of specific grades of steel, but also can be used for post-furnace adjustment. As an important raw material for molten iron in induction furnace, the quality and usage of recarburizer have a direct influence on the state of molten iron. The carbon content in steel ladle can be adjusted to achieve the purpose of diversity by adding a specific grade of recarburizer to the steel ladle where slag removal and degassing treatment have finished.
There are many kinds of raw materials to shape recarburizer, and high-quality recarburizer generally refers to graphitized recarburizer. At the moment, in the market, graphitized recarburizer can be obtained through two ways: one is the waste cutting of graphite electrode, and the other is the graphitized product of petroleum coke under the temperature of 3,000 degrees. With high temperature, carbon atoms are arranged in the microscopic form of graphite, which is called graphitization. Graphitization can reduce the impurities in the recarburizer, increase the carbon content of the recarburizer and decrease sulfur content.
